Search & Rescue
Whenever an accident occurs in the
mountains the following procedures should be adopted:
Once the nature of the injuries are known,
it should be arranged that at least two, preferably three, people remain with
the injured person. At least two persons to go for help to the nearest
telephone with as much of the information as listed below that you can find out
quickly. Remember to take your essential equipment, in case you get into trouble
Steep ground security courses are held regularly; we
recommend the attendance of these to learn and maintain
the basics of rope safety. Rock climbing meets also appear
on the meet sheet. A well-equipped introductory Rock Climbing
School is run by members.
